Helio Castroneves finished second, Ed Jones was third, Max Chilton fourth and Tony Kanaan finished the top five.
Juan Pablo Montoya was sixth, Alexander Rossi was seventh, Marco Andretti was eighth, Gabby Chaves was ninth and the tenth place went to Carlos Munoz
Pole-sitter Scott Dixon ended his race early after a crash with Jay Howard about a quarter through the race. Howard lost control of his race car and smashed into the outside retaining wall after crashing into Dixon's car, sending Dixon airborne into the inside retaining wall. The fiery crash caused an extended red flag at lap 55.
