2017-11-12 Brittany Force ran 3.679 seconds at 328.22 mph beating Richie Crampton in the 2 round of the finals, therein securing enough points too win the 2017 Top Fuel World Championship.
Adding a cherry to the top of a already great day, Brittany also won the Auto Club NHRA Top Fuel Finals with a run of 3.668 seconds at 330.07 mph beating Shawn Langdon who had engine troubles.
Four years after Shirley Muldowney, also known professionally as “Cha Cha” and the “First Lady of Drag Racing” won her 3rd and final Top Fuel World Championship the next woman to win was born and 31 years after that Brittany Force became the 2017 NHRA Top Fuel World Champion.

We had our ups and downs. But we pulled it together when it mattered most.“I have to give all this up to my crew chiefs, Alan Johnson and Brian Husen. They are the ones that made this possible. They never gave up on me. They always had my back, and they kept pushing for more. And I can’t believe we’re here. This is just unbelievable. I have to thank my Dad and my family. They always had my back, no matter what. This is a very proud moment.”
