In the NASCAR XFINITY Series My Bariatric Solutions 300 at Texas Motor Speedway. Jones collected his seventh career series win and second at Texas. He lead three times for 112 laps including the last 45.

Erik Jones said. “I think we just have to take a look at how the track changed over the race and what our car did. Jones believes his run Saturday will help his Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series effort in Sunday’s O’Reilly Auto Parts 500.

Jones also said, “Really, we didn’t make many adjustments. They did a good job getting the car freed up for today. The track was definitely a lot tighter. It’s an awesome day to get back to Victory Lane.”

Despite Turns 1 and 2 being reconfiguration in the off-season, Jones was able to win in Texas even though he other drivers had trouble during their qualifying runs earlier in the event and had to run backup cars.

Erik Jones also said.“The first time I came here, it’s funny, it really wasn’t that good to me, but after that it just kind of clicked and I felt really good here ever since. The repave was really treacherous to start the weekend and this is a nice way to bounce back for myself after going to a backup the other day in the Cup car. Hopefully this is a good start for tomorrow.”

Ryan Blaney, Kevin Harvick, Austin Dillon and Cole Custer rounded out the top five.

Harvick said, “I thought our day was really good when the car wasn’t beat up like it was at the end. We had better speed. We were okay after the crash but for the second time out and six weeks in and everything that we have going on, putting both cars in the top-five is a huge day for us. Everybody is doing a good job.

Bubba Wallace, William Byron, Ty Dillon, Matt Tifft and Elliott Sadler completed the first ten finishers.

Bubba Wallace said, “I really fought hard there and did look with about nine laps to go where I was and got it mixed up between us and the 9 and we were sixth, unreal. Shout out to my guys. My pit crew was on it all day and all year. They put us in the game there on the green-flag stop. I saw we came out a couple spots ahead of the guys we were behind and I knew it would be a good day”.

The NASCAR XFINITY Series takes Easter weekend off before returning to action at Bristol Motor Speedway on Saturday, April 22nd.
