2017-12-03 Daniel Abt crossed the finish line first however he and Audi Sport was disqualified from Round Two after finding that his car's components didn't match up, Therefor Felix Rosenqvist takes home the victory.
The Stewards said there was a mismatch between part numbers in the technical passport and the car.
The team later said that they will appeal, and that they feel the infraction was made even though the parts are identical, and all fully correspond to the regulations.
“There’s been a lot of ups-and-downs all weekend, but I’m happy with taking away 29 points, winning the race and fastest lap, it’s a lot of points,” Rosenqvist said. “But I feel sorry for Daniel as well, he won the race on track, but I don’t know the reason. It’s not the way you want to win and I don’t feel like I’ve won the race. But I’m happy with the points. Sometimes you’re happy and then you’re sad, like yesterday we were in P15 and turned it around, getting fastest lap but it got taken away, so there’s been a lot like that but I’ll take maximum points and third in the championship.”
In second place was Edoardo Mortara, he led for 23 laps however he lost his chance to win in the final laps when he spun out in turn 2 allowing Abt and Rosenqvist to pass.
3rd was Mitch Evans, 4th was Jean-Eric Vergne, 5th was Sam Bird, 6 Oliver Turvey, 7th was Maro Engel, 8th was Nico Prost, 9th was Alex Lynn and 10th was Sebastien Buemi
