2017-07-16 Denny Hamlin wins Overton‘s 301 in Loudon, NH. at New Hampshire Motor Speedway.

Second place went to Kyle Larson, third place was secured by Martin Truex Jr, fourth place went to Matt Kenseth and fifth place went to Kevin Harvick.

Stage One

Jimmy Johnson was penalized for beating the pole sitter Martin Truex Jr to the start line so he had to go to the rear. By lap 6 Kyle Larson had moved up 16 spots from 39th To 23 and. by lap 33 Kyle Larson has passed 29 cars and made all the way to 10th Place.

On lap 36 there was a competition caution. during the caution nearly everyone took a pit stop and the race off Pit Road was won by Martin Truex Jr, 2nd was Kenseth, 3rd was Kyle Busch, 4th was Jamie McMurray iand 5th was Denny Hamlin.

Just after the restart on lap 40 Eric Jones‘s left front tire went flat and he hit the wall, possibly due to a slight impact during the race of Pit Road. His car was too damaged to return to the race however he was not injured during the incident.

The third caution came out when Cole Whitt smoked the track on lap 68 he headed straight to the garage.

Martin Truex Jr won stage one, 2nd was Matt Kenseth 3rd was Kyle Larson 4th was Jamie McMurray and 5th was Kyle Busch.

During the pit stop before stage 2. The top four cars maintained their positions in the race off Pit Road.

Stage Two

The fifth caution came out on lap 89 when Austin Dillon spun out in turn 4, his car was not damaged, he immediately got back on the track to continue racing.

Kyle Busch won stage 2, Denny Hamlin was second, Kevin Harvick was third, Kurt Busch was fourth and Jimmy Johnson was fifth.

With 39 laps to go Ryan Newman cause the 7th caution when he spun out. He said he was contacted on his left rear. The restart happened with 35 laps to go. Starting first on the restart was Dale Earnhardt Jr, second was Matt Kenseth, third was Martin Truex Jr, fourth was Denny Hamlin, fifth was Kevin Harvick sixth was Kyle Larson, seventh was Kurt Busch and eighth was Jimmy Johnson.
